“Animals are Beautiful and Intelligent Creatures”, Story of Bali Animal Care

If you are an animal lover or living your best life having animals as your loved ones, you must know this one organization that cares so much about animals in Bali.

Bali Animal Care is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Bali. According to Wendy, one of the founders of Bali Animal Care or BAC, this non-profit organization was set up during the pandemic. BAC was born in the summer of 2020 by Wendy Manintveld and Jill Harvey. BAC is dedicated to improving the lives of animals in Bali.

There are so many animals that need to be taken care of around Bali. Since the pandemic, the situation has been getting worse because many of the owners of the animals returned to their home countries. This situation makes BAC focus on assisting sick and distressed free-roaming Bali animals, “owned animals”, whether they are owned by Bali locals or owners that have locked up, abandoned their animals and left the island.

The story of BAC started beautifully with “Happy”. Happy was rescued at the beach in July 2020 in a very sick condition. He was diagnosed with starvation, blood parasites and serious skin disease. Happy was rescued and brought to the clinic and now lives happily, adopted by Wendy.

“They are beautiful and intelligent creatures. We have to take good care of them in any possible way,” that’s what Wendy thought about animals. She says that we can help animals in our daily life, simply to be kind and take good care of them and, if in need, help them by bringing them to a vet for treatment.

Wendy shared her thoughts about people who love animals in Bali to help them. “Love your pets and other animals you meet and please do anything you can to help an abandoned or sick animal,” she says.
